OMIUNU, Alexius Festus is a Senior Assistant Registrar of Registry Department in Edo University Iyamho, Edo State Nigeria. He is also the Student Affairs Officer in the Students Affairs Division of the University. He was born on 20th March 1978 in Benin City, Edo State. He attended Payne Primary School, Upper Mission, Benin City in the 80s and later moved to Saint John State School, Port Harcourt, Rivers state. He completed his Secondary School at Okaigben Secondary School, Ewohimi, Esan South East Local Governmentof Edo State in 1994. He was the Deputy Senior Perfect of 1994 set. Mr. Omiunu Festus proceeded to Edo State University Ekpoma (now Ambrose Alli University) in 1995 to obtained Bachelor Degree in Public Administration in 1999 and had also progressed in his M.Sc in Public Policy and Development Administration. He did his one year mandatory National Youth Service in Port Harcourt, Rivers State and was posted to Agip Nigeria Limited at Omoku, Rivers State for his primary assignment. He was also the Corp liaison officer for Corpers in Omoku, Rivers State
He had served at several committees in Edo University Iyamho as Registrar’s Representative/Secretary. He waspreviously the Pioneer Acting Registrar, Edo State College of Agriculture, Agenebode for 7 years (2007- 2012). He had worked briefly as a Private School Teacher in 2001 and began his Public Service life as Administrative officer 11 in Edo State College of Agriculture, Iguoriakhi in 2003. He rose through the ranks to Senior Assistant Registrar before his appointment with Edo University Iyamho as Senior Assistant Registrar for the past three (2005 - till date). His area of professionalization and specialization in Public Policy and Development Administration. He had attended so many conferences, seminars and workshops within Nigeria in his 14 years in the Public Service. He was also privileged to travel to Ghana and South Africa for Church events. He is married to Mrs. Maria O. Omiunu who is a higher Agricultural Officer with Edo State College of Agriculture, Iguoriakhi. His Marriage is blessed with four children (one boy and three girls).
