Diana Ihonjie Omenai is a Microbiology Laboratory Scientist at the Faculty of Science, Edo University Iyamho, Edo State, Nigeria. She is a member of the Institute of Science and Technology (IST). She was awarded a certificate of competence on Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSE). She is a graduate of B.Sc Microbiology from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State.

Omenai teaches undergraduates Practical Microbiology. She has undergone trainings in various workshops and seminars and have been awarded certificate of participation from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations on Fundamentals of Information Literacy and Access to Global Online Research in Agriculture (AGORA) and Lahor Research Laboratories in collaboration with Medical Laboratory Council of Nigeria on Molecular Diagnosis and Bioinformatics.

She has further developed herself in other trainings on Pedagogy, Quality Control and Laboratory Management, which she adapts to teach.
