Mr. Igbinovia Michael Ikponmwosa is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Arts, Management and Social Sciences, Edo University Iyamho, Edo State, Nigeria. He holds a M.Sc. in Accounting from the University of Benin in addition to a B.Sc. in Accounting from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. He is a doctoral student of Accountancy at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
An effective teacher with a proven track-record of combining a strong teaching knowledge with good research skills to identify and maximise academic goals and objectives. He is experienced in teaching with background in the pre-tertiary level and in the polytechnic. He has presented quality papers in both international and local conferences and seminars and has published papers in the areas of Taxation, Public Sector Accounting and Corporate Financial Reporting. He teaches Tax laws and accounts, Public Sector Accounting, and Financial Accounting at undergraduate level.
His career objectives are to train would be Accountants to effectively contribute to Tax revenue growth; promote effective tax planning for companies within the framework of relevant tax laws and providing support for government and corporate entities on tax issues. These objectives are achievable through adequate and effective teaching and research.
