Harriet Omokiniovo Efanodor-Obeten, Ph.D. is a lecturer in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, Edo University Iyamho, Edo State, Nigeria. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Degree in Political Science, Master of Science (M.Sc.) Degree in Political Science with specialization in International Relations, a Bachelor of Art (B.A) Degree in History and International Studies from the Delta State University, Abraka and A Postgraduate Dipolma in Education (PGDE) from the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.

Dr. Efanodor-Obeten Harriet is an Alumni of the Next Generation Social Science in Africa Programme of the Social Science Research Council (SSRC), Brooklyn, New York, United States of America. She is a registered member of National Political Science Association (NPSA). She is also an associate member of the Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP). She was a junior research member of International Development Research Centre (IDRC) funded research team for Amnesties for Peace in the Niger Delta led by Professor Augustine Ikelegbe (University of Benin and Centre for Population and Environmental Development - CPED). She is a recipient of the 2007 Ondo State Honours Award as an outstanding National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) member and the 2016 Carnegie Fund for Conference Attendance Award.

 

Dr. Efanodor-Obeten research interest focuses on Gender and development studies, politics, International Relations, Peace and Conflict studies. She teaches Introduction to political science, African politics, International relations, Political analysis, Nigerian government and politics at the undergraduate level. She is dedicated and enthusiastic about providing quality research as such have written several articles that have been published in reputable national and international peer-reviewed journals. In order to achieve her career goal of advancing the frontiers of learning and break new grounds through research and the dissemination of knowledge, she has attended several local and international conferences with papers presented.
