Mr Olori Eric Oshowemiye holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemistry from the University of Ilorin and Master of Science (MSc) degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Ibadan. He is a Laboratory Technologist at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Edo University Iyamho, Edo State, Nigeria. He is responsible for the setting up and supervision of all Chemistry practical as well as member of the Technical Committee of the University.

Mr Olori has previously work with Fidson Healthcare Plc as a Chemical analyst and in charge of Instrumentation. The experience gathered as a chemical/Instrumental analysis has made him execute his task as a Laboratory Technologist in a dynamic and unique manner. He specializes on High Performance Liquid Chromatography for academic researches and Industrial analysis to enforce quality control of their products.

He is currently a PhD student at the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Faculty

of Pharmacy, University of Ibadan. His research area is on drug discovery from Africa

flora via Computer Aided Drug Design and Pharmacokinetics. As part of his

contribution to knowledge and to improve human health, Mr Olori has a publication

titled “Effect of Artesunate on the Urinary Excretion of Cloxacillin in Healthy Subjects”

in Nigerian Journal of Pharmaceutical Research. He is a member of Drug

Discovery Africa (DDA), a Nigeria research group with the sole aim of collaborating to

discover drug for Africa.

His emphasis on learning is to produce graduate with practical base knowledge, thus making them to compete favourably in the Industries after passing out from Edo University, Iyamho.
