Gabriel Ozekhome Igechi is a lecturer in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, Edo University Iyamho, Edo State, Nigeria. He holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) Degree in Political Science with specialization in International Relations, and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) Degree in Political Science and Public Administration (Second class Honours, Upper division) both from the University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria.

He teaches political Ideas, public policy Analysis, State and the Economy, Introduction to Comparative politics, Comparative Federalism and Political thought.

He is currently a doctoral candidate in the area of comparative politics and development studies. As a youth corp member, he was the president of Eco-Vanguard CDS group in arid Borno state in 2007/2008 where he received an award for his efforts concerning aforestation. An avid reader and one who is keen on the socio- economic progress of Nigeria and Africa, he has published a number of journals and essays.
